University of Plymouth

Project: In 2010, PEEL Roleplay was commissioned to oversee a drama-based educational learning programme for Plymouth University. The role play training sessions, designed for the University’s prestigious medical and dental schools, facilitate student learning through real-life practical scenarios.  

Client Benefit: PEEL Roleplay successfully took on the running of an existing contract in a professional and sensitive manner. It was critical that a seamless transfer of work was initiated, for the benefit of the client and students alike.

Broughton Hall Estate

Date: 2006 – present day

Broughton Hall

Project: In 2006, PEEL Heritage produced the first in a series of ‘Open-Air Festivals’ for the Broughton Hall Estate. PEEL Heritage oversaw a production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with actors Prunella Scales and Timothy West. The performance ran over three days and was combined with a programme of actors’ workshops. 

Client Benefit: PEEL Heritage helped to realise increased footfall, revenue and profile for Broughton Hall Estate. The production introduced a new dimension to the diversity of events on the Estate and, brought with it a cultural experience for the visitor.

Aldourie Castle Estate

Project: In 2010, PEEL Heritage was commissioned to create ‘The Aldourie Cultural Series’ – a series of unique ‘weekend experiences’ held at the enchanting Aldourie Castle Estate, on the southern shores of Loch Ness, near Inverness, Scotland. 

Client Benefit: PEEL Heritage was instrumental in helping Aldourie Castle Estate to create and define a new and exciting brand – Aldourie Castle opened to the public in 2009. The innovative programme of live entertainment is designed to celebrate the cultural tapestry of the Castle’s heritage.

Warner Leisure Hotels

Project: In 2009, Warner Leisure Hotels commissioned PEEL Heritage to work on a brand new project, with a brief to revitalise the live entertainment offer at a select number of historic house hotels. PEEL Heritage devised a fabulously innovative programme, which combined sparkling evening entertainment with specialist acting troupes, to bring these amazingly beautiful and historically rich houses alive. Today PEEL Heritage provides the entertainment at each of Warner Leisure’s four historic house hotels. 

Client Benefit: PEEL Heritage has completely revolutionised the entertainment offer for Warner Leisure Hotels. The site-specific history of these historic houses has been brought to life and animated. PEEL Heritage has helped to broaden the spectrum of entertainment on offer to include cultural, lifestyle and drama-based activities. Project: In 2003, PEEL Cruise was commissioned to create a programme of live entertainment for the Thomson Spirit. The brief was to meet the needs of Thomson’s changing and developing demographic of guests who, because of Thomson’s trusted name and reputation, were being introduced to the delights of a cruise holiday. In 2005, PEEL Cruise were further commissioned to provide entertainment for the Thomson Celebration and the Thomson Destiny and, in 2010, for the incomparable Thomson Dream, whose entertainment scores are the best of the fleet. In 2007 – 2009 PEEL Cruise was also privileged to look after The Emerald and The Calypso for Thomson during their sailing years. Today PEEL Cruise is the exclusive provider of entertainment across the Thomson fleet.
